Crime novelist, Launa Moon wants nothing more than to live a quiet life with her cat Fonzie in a quiet mountain town, Miller Creek. Is that too much to ask. Someone evil thinks so and starts to act out scenes from her books. Can she survive? I found The Author to be an intriguing, twisty story, well-conceived and well written. The creative mind of a crime novelist has always fascinated me. But, when it is a crime novelist writing about a crime novelist., what could be better? I liked the read completely and highly recommend The Author by Lyn Balmer. Well done.
