I very much enjoyed Dark Reign – A Mafia Romance by Kerry Kennedy. A true romance set in the world of a mafia boss doesn’t seem too compatible, but Kennedy blends the story perfectly. Take away his story as a Mafia boss and she portrays the romance beautifully. Take away the romance and we have the God Father. As with all great thrillers I ask, ‘What could go wrong?’ Each of Kennedy’s books is different from all her other books. One aspect of Dark Reign that I particularly liked is that the book is written in the First Person, but not always the same person. She has a knack for capturing the thought process of each character that she represents with a spooky precision. Great presentation, great story, quite the thriller, and very definitely an adult read – Dark Reign – A Mafia Romance by Kerry Kennedy. For me, five stars.
