Jeff Bailey Reviews Agent Scorned by Ephraim Clark
Agent Scorned is Ephraim Clark’s
best yet, by far. The characters are tight and there is no wasted space or
side-stories. I feel I know Brad James and his counterpart Chuck, realistic not
perfect. It’s why I liked Indiana Jones, humanly accomplished and vulnerable. The
bad guys are equally well developed and real. In Agent Scorned, there is a
suicide in Paris and Brad James gets involved - twisty, unpredictable. Just
what I want in a conspiracy thriller. I’ve read all of Ephraim Clark's thrillers
and enjoyed each one. One last point, ‘write what you know’ as the adage goes.
Well, Ephraim Clark obviously lives in, and knows, Paris, intimately. The rich
references to street names, districts and businesses (bars) adds so much color
to the books. I felt like I knew Paris after my first read. I felt like I was
returning to somewhere I’ve lived before as I read Agents Scorned. I guess the
first book left quite an impression. While the stories are stand alone. I would
recommend reading Cult Stalker first and then read the books in the order
published. The familiarity with Paris added a lot to my enjoyment of the story.
Well done Ephraim Clark. I highly recommend
Agent Scorned.

Jeff Bailey Reviews The Favor by Steve Badman
The Favor starts off easy enough, Brian
Turner going about his nice average, quiet day: on page one. Then boom, page two, a big fist of adrenalin jumps
up and grabs the reader by the throat. The plot escalates from there. A very
interesting and clever series of plot twists made this book, for me at least,
difficult to put down. Brian Turner was the benefactor of a simple favor in his
youth. In the present, the payback has come due. What could go wrong? Kudos to Steve Badman for a one-of-a-kind thriller. I
like finding authors that I have not previously read and to find a great new series of
books to read. So many books, so little time. Five full stars for The Favor by
Steve Badman.
